Ade Sawyerr (B.Sc. (Admin)
Management, MBA, FCMC)
Certified Management Consultant and a Fellow of
the Institute of management Consultant is a founding
partner of Equinox Consulting. Ade had worked in
Banking and Systems Analysis. He was also Managing
Director in a specialist travel agency and a General
Manager in a medium sized company in Ghana.
He graduated in 1971 with a B. Sc Administration,
Management Option from the University of Ghana and
completed an MBA from Manchester Business School
in 1982.
His dissertation on the Particular Problems faced
by black controlled businesses in the UK broke academic
ground when it was published in 1983 in New Community,
the journal of the Commission for Racial Equality.
Since then he has carried out several research assigments
on issues relating to small business and the voluntary
sector.
He provides management support to both small businesses
and community and voluntary organisations. He has
undertaken feasibility on the setting up of second
tier organisations and community facilities. He
has designed and presented training session on a
variety of management and motivational subjects.
Ade develops strategies for small organisations
and has focused on governance, leadership and diversity
issues.
He is also very active in the voluntary sector as
a trustee of Capital Community Foundation and currently
Chairman of GaDangme Nikasemo Asafo a small educational,
cultural and welfare organisation.
